1. What is this institute all about?

This a government aided institution under the department of Tourism, government of Madhya Pradesh .It trains youngsters above the age of 17 in the core fields of hospitality .ie. Food production, Food and beverage services, Bakery and confectionary, Front office and Housekeeping which fulfils the requirement of all the catering and service establishments round the globe.


2. What courses does it run?

It runs 1 ½ year diploma courses in  Food production, Food and beverage services, Bakery and confectionary, Front office and Housekeeping. Each course posses 40 seats.


3.With whom it is affiliated?It is affiliate to the The Institute is affiliated to National Council of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, Noida, which is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India. The council centrally regulates academics for hospitality of all IHMs and Food Craft Institutes. All Institutes uniformly follow standardized course curriculum prescribed by the Council for the different professional programmes. Its courses are recognized worldwide.


4. What is the mode of admission?

Admission is strictly upon “First come First Serve Basis”. If the number candidates increase the seat limit, then the admission will be taken under merit basis ( marks of class XII). The admission begins from  1st April of the Financial year and closes two day before the session starts in July.



5. How fees can be paid?

Fees can be paid in two installments. It is clearly mentioned in the fees column.  Fees can be paid only in form of Demand draft, bankers cheque or through MP Online.


6. What is the mode of study?

The mode of study is English.


7. What are the working days of the institution?

As Per NCHMCT the Institution is open all six days in a week  (Five days for Students-Saturday Off). 2nd and 3rd Saturday is fully closed. Students may come 1st and 4rth  Saturdays to clarify their doubts if any with the respective teachers.


8. From where uniform can be purchased?

Students are free to purchase uniforms as prescribed by the Institute from any vendor of their choice. The Institute may sometimes guide the students to some of the renowned tailor.


9. What is the Scholarship Policy?

Scholarship can be availed as per the State Government norms.


10. Is Hostel facility available?

Hostel facility will be available from the Academic year 2019 onwards.


11. Does the Institute have “anti-ragging policy?

Since the Institution runs 1 year regular courses in the institution and half year in the industry, so in this case there is no need of “anti-ragging policy”. Every year we have new students.


12. What about the uniformity of the Institute?

The institute does not in any case promote or follow any casteism, racialism, or any sort of ideology which is offensive. It promotes healthy atmosphere for all type of people. All students have to strictly follow the code of conduct of the Institute.


13. Does it provide meal during training?

The fees include lunch for the students.


14. Where the Training and Placement does takes place? 

Effective Training and Placement cell which promotes all round development of the student’s personality and professional knowledge. All students are trained and place in the leading hotels and service establishments of the country.


15.How far it is from the railway station and what are the transportation facilities available?

The Institute is located at airport road, Dumna which is 12 km from Jabalpur railway station. Enrolled students can avail FREE bus facility service from Paryatan Bhawan (near Railway stadium) to the institute.


16. Is it mandatory to do Industrial training?

The NCHMCT curriculum is based upon 1 year study in the institution and ½ year (six months) of Industrial training. So it is mandatory of each and every student to undergo Industrial training. Failing to do so will not be given marks sheet or certificate and will be treated as Fail.


17. What about carrying knives and other tools by the students?

Students of Food production and bakery and Confectionary are strictly advised to keep their knives and tools in the lockers provided to them and also use them carefully. The Institution is not liable of any mis-happening that may occur inside or outside the campus.
